CHAPTER 4

We went to my house. Jessica was leading the way and I was trying to match my ace behind her. She shut all the doors and windows and we went into my room.

So this was very confidential.. my heart was beating very hard. I didn’t know what was coming in my way. No clue. Was I going to be prisoned for turning into a ruler?

Something was vibrating in Jessica’s purse. She took out some weird thing, which looked like a walkie talkie. All she said was ” okay. I will be there with her. The time has come for her as well. Bye.”

I didn’t dare to ask who she was talking to.

“Look, Bella, we have a time constraint here. I have two plane tickets to France. Our flight is going to take off at 6pm. We have to start immediately. Pack some clothes, if you want. There will be clothes for you there. “

I didn’t even get the chance to ask her where exactly we would be going or whom we were going to meet. I started packing stuff. I didn’t know how long we would be gone. Except the fact that there is Eiffel tower in France, I was not acquainted with that place.

Then I stopped packing and closed my eyes. Should I really go with Jessica? I hardly know her. What if she is an abductor who takes advantage of naives like me? Should I really trust her? I cannot fall into traps like this. Sure, I don’t know anything about people but I am sensible enough to not trust a person who I met just one day ago and go with her to France.

Pause there, France! My mom said they’re going to France! So probably Jessica is taking me to my parents...uff!! Don’t know what to do. If I go to France with her, even if she is not a good person, I can somehow go to my parents. And anyways no-one was going to feel my absence here. At last I decided to go with her.

She had already booked a taxi. There was that awkward silence in the taxi, all the way till the airport. We finally boarded our flight. The flight took off. That’s when we started talking.
