Can you believe New Year is coming already!? What does New Year mean to you? An evening with friends and family , drinks and snacks, just another day to enjoy! Well come on, there is more to it. I want you to answer this honestly: How well have you spent this year? Did you make the most of every single day? As they say, let bygones be bygones, now focus on how you plan to spend this year. New year, is not just another year, it brings with itself a chance to be the author of yet another story of your life, with 12 months as its sequels, 52 weeks as its chapters and 365 days as its pages. Yes, the pen lies in your very own hand. New Year, is an excellent opportunity to begin something great. Not everyone has made it till here, but you have. So do not take this for granted. Make the most out it. The universe has chosen you, yes you are THE CHOSEN ONE. Don't let yourself down🙃

Hmm, another popular thing that comes to our minds when we talk about new year is --New Year Resolutions. How many of you have actually followed your resolutions till the end? I bet very few must have. I screwed up my resolutions in June (Well, that was an improved as compared to last year when I had followed them only for a week). I do believe in new year resolutions. They motivate us to do things. But the enthusiasm and energy doesn't last for the entire 365 days. I have come across many tactics and have tried some of them myself. I would love to share them with you'll:

  1. Maintain a journal: This is one of the most powerful yet simple technique to help us be on track. Once you get into this habit, you will find the difference yourself. Everyday, before you wake up and go to bed, make sure to write in your journal. You can write anything, from positive affirmations to a fight with a friend. Make it your best friend.

  2. Prepare a To Do List: Before going to bed, make sure that you write down all the things which you wish to accomplish the next day. Little things do help in achieving the great thing. In the morning, that should be the first thing you look at (and not your phone!) and plan your day accordingly. This way there is no ambiguity on how you should spend your day.

  3. Control your emotions: Emotions can play with you like anything. Don't let it consume you. Feel whatever you have to and let it go. Don't hold on to it forever and waste your time. I think this is one of the weaknesses of human beings. Know that you can control your emotions .

  4. Meditate: Honestly, I was never interested in meditating as I thought it had something to do with spirituality but then one of my friends had suggested me to meditate. It has brought a lot of changes in me. It is worth the time. You feel calmer and more focused.   5. Prioritize: You will have to make sacrifices if you want to become successful. There are unlimited series on Netflix, videos on YouTube , reels on Instagram...You know the list! Watch out where and how much time you waste on such stuff. Always keep your eyes on the larger picture, that is, your major motive of life and avoid falling into traps which give you temporary happiness.

  6. Do not give up: Unfortunately, sometimes things don't work out the way you planned. So expect the worst. Be prepared to face it.. But whatever happens, do not give up. Maybe for a day or two, if things go wrong, then don't waste the rest of the year. It is okay. Remember why you started in the first place .

Do make your new year resolutions keeping these in mind. Take an oath that you will try your best to follow them. Make this year count, even one year can have a drastic effect on your life.

May this year be an adventurous, happy, healthy, successful, and a fruitful year!
